One Volleyball Japan connects players and coaches worldwide through the discipline and culture of Japanese volleyball — in Japan, overseas, and online.
Born in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, Taichi Kawaguchi (川口 太一) built one of Japan's most distinguished libero careers — competing at the highest professional level across Japan and Europe.
From Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza and Wolfdogs Nagoya in Japan's top league to TV Rottenburg in Germany and Savo Volley in Finland, Taichi brought Japan's defensive precision to international courts. He was part of the Toyoda Gosei team that won the Emperor's Cup.
Now back home in Gifu as Head Coach of JA Gifu Rioreina women's team, Taichi channels that career into One Volleyball Japan — sharing the discipline, technique, and culture of Japanese volleyball with the next generation of international players.
